  • Colour and light

The Brandhorst Collection is an architectural jewel that
adds a further highlight to Munich’s museums. The shell made of coloured ceramic rods serves as a striking orientation point in the line of buildings along the road. Colourful on the outside, discreet on the inside: with its
understated materials, light-grey walls and light wood, the architecture takes a step back, allowing the art to take centre stage. A well-devised system consisting of skylights and light defl ection ensure that practically all of the exhibition rooms are provided with daylight – and it is not only the Andy Warholes that show themselves in their true colours.
